Having read the Apollo 11 content given to us by our teacher ( and you can read the given content below ), I must admit that I’m quite confused by certain things such as the transposition and docking manoeuvres and how the big Saturn V rocket became Eagle by the time Armstrong landed on the moon.

In this blog, I’ll document my understating of the Apollo 11 mission Journey through research.

I’ll document what I have found in the form of a chronological story for not only better comprehension but also for me to look back on when I’m wireframing and thinking about the story flow of my Apollo 11 project.

Lastly, a great resource I found is this Vox video on Youtube. The video not only gives a breakdown of the Saturn V rocket but the story is also told in a clear and concise way. The video also has many annotated diagrams and animations of the Apollo 11 journey, many of which I have used in this blog to aid our understanding;

Understanding the rocket

Before we begin the Apollo 11 Journey story, I think it is important to understand the Saturn V rocket because the different parts of the rocket all play important roles in the story.

The rocket has 2 main important parts; the big section at the bottom is called the Apollo Saturn V ( left image) while the smaller section that sits on top is the Apollo spacecraft.
