Right before my class critique, I discovered that while Gif animation cannot play on a normal Figma screen, if you choose to “present” the prototype, then it does work!

I was really happy to have finally found a way to showcase the loop animation for my app’s home screen;

I also discovered that Figam has a tool called “ smart animate”. It allows you to connect screens and fluidly transition between them, simulating the user’s experience when using the app. In the beginning, it was quite hard for me to understand exactly how to connect the screens and get the right kind of transition that I wanted ( scroll, click etc. );
