For the famous “ one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind “ phrase, I really wanted to add an audio clip to accompany the quote. I think hearing Neil Armstrong himself say these words will provide a more immersive experience.

Through my initial research, I found a few promising MP3s, but they all sounded a little different. It was hard to tell which one was the original audio. I eventually found that NASA themselves kept audio clips of the Apollo 11 mission, though it was so far down my search results it took a while for me to find them. It was all worth it in the end because I can now say for definite that I have the audio spoken by Neil Armstrong himself.

After downloading and listening to the audio, I realised the first 14ish seconds were irrelevant, and the audio clip needed to be cut. I learnt to edit the audio clips using Clipchamp, only to find out that you can only export the file as an MP4;

I got around this by converting the MP4 back into MP3 through a converter;

For future reference, I now know that there are many free online MP3 editors that I can use instead of Clipchamp.
