After designing the icons, I begin the next step of my project: design some free merchandise that can be theoretically put into a goodie bag.

Mockups

Last year I saw some students in the class being able to put their branding on realistic products, such as bags and tee-shirts; I remember being amazed at how they could achieve that realistic effect. Therefore, for this project, I asked a few of my classmates about how those effects could be achieved, and I found out that it was called mockups.

After research, I found a really good website offering some free mockups called Is.graphics;

After downloading the files and opening them up on photoshop, I looked through some youtube tutorials on how to apply my own branding to the mockups. I found this one particularly useful;

Basically, after you open up the file in Photoshop. You need to look for an editable layer;

And once you click into the layer, you can place your design on that layer and save it;
