Based on the Ux excises documented in the previous blog, I have identified 4 main functions of my app.

I identify the main functions by looking at important concepts that overlap across all 3 excises. For example, I added an interactive map game as a main function as

• In “Action, Competition and Impact”, the importance of some form of gamification is discussed.
• In “Pain Points Identification and Solution”, one of the pain points is that less well know but endangered animals are not getting enough attention. The map game will allow users to explore exotic animals around the world and highlight the endangered ones.
• In “3 words to best describe your app”, one of the main words that describe my app is “ educational”. The map gaming subtly educates users about animals from different cultures.

Not everything that overlaps is complexed enough to be a stand-alone main function. For example, user impact is mentioned across all 3 excises, but this will be integrated throughout the main functions.

Lastly, due to time constraints, I have also omitted some possible function ideas such as in-app competition.

Function one - Animal donation/adoption

This is the main function of the app, allowing the user to donate and adopt animals.

Function 2 - Animal adoption hub
